Analysts at JP Morgan have revised downward their opinion on the title of French telecom Orange, the mobile phone center of France Télécom. The previous assessment was revised to positive market perform. Remains unchanged price target to 8.50 euros. JP Morgan points out, however, that the title retains a considerable store of value for investors in the long run to 2-3 years.

The downgrade was justified by the high exposure of the Swiss company on equity investments. Risks remain high and the home business has consequently reduced the estimates for the whole of 2002. The target price has been set at 126 Swiss francs. Swiss Re at the time slips by 2.4% to 103.50 francs, in a black day for the entire insurance industry in Europe.
